Turkey imposes restrictions on the disposal of assets of 106 individuals and legal entities

Turkey has imposed restrictions on the disposal of assets of 106 individuals and legal entities; in particular, the sale, transfer, or any other disposal of property has been prohibited.

The Istanbul Prosecutor's Office has sent a request to the Financial Crimes Investigation Board (MASAK) to collect financial data on the executives of a number of companies, including Pusula Finans Holding, Tera Yatırım Menkul Değerler, Hedef Holding, Bulls Yatırım Menkul Değerler and others.

The prosecutor's office demanded that complete data be submitted on the executives of these companies and their monetary and cryptocurrency transfers abroad from 2024 to the present, as well as on all receipts and expenditures of funds.

The investigation is being conducted by the prosecutor's office's special department for cases of terrorism financing and money laundering.

As part of the investigation, members of the companies' management teams have been arrested; 19 suspects have been taken into custody, two have been released after giving testimony, and judicial control measures have been imposed on three. The total number of those detained as part of the investigation has reached 51 people.
