Iran's parliament to consider draft withdrawal from the NPT on an urgent basis

Iran's parliament has prepared a bill on withdrawing from the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT).

This was stated by the deputy speaker of Iran's parliament, Ali Nikzad.

At present, according to him, the initiative is being studied, including from the standpoint of international consequences.

The chairman added that the document will be brought to a plenary session marked as extremely important — deputies will have to consider it on the same day, Fars reports.
