Armenia promises to begin construction of TRIPP in early 2027

What was planned, I can say, is moving forward at a fairly rapid pace.

Armenia's Ambassador to the United States Narek Mkrtchyan said this in a conversation with journalists on the 2nd, speaking about the TRIPP project.

«If you look at how far the program has advanced in one year, what development we have managed to record, I must say that for a project of this scale we have quite significant results. You know that a study is currently being conducted, which, I think, will be completed within the next one or two months, after which, I believe, real steps can already be seen in early 2027.

The program has many levels, and until this study is ready and the stages of the various actions stemming from it are determined, this will not be possible. For example, imagine how much time is required for the design and the drawing up of an estimate even for the construction of an ordinary building, and there – how many levels there are. The study has been commissioned, as you know, it is being conducted by the American company AECOM, its results will be available soon, an assessment will be carried out, after which they will move on to the practical stage.

And before that, all the formalities, the registration of the «TRIPP Development Company» with American financial structures, all the details... we have already gone through all these stages, our numerous delegations have visited Washington, and various interagency meetings have been held from Washington. The program has already matured, it has reached the stage of practical implementation, and, as we believe, at the beginning of next year it will be possible to hold a ceremony marking the start of construction», Mkrtchyan said.
