Iran's president proposes creating a "CIS+1" format

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian proposed at the CIS summit the creation of a "CIS+1" format for deeper cooperation between the Commonwealth and Tehran.

"The format 'member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States + Iran,' or 'CIS+1,' should be created as a flexible and effective mechanism for dialogue and cooperation," the Fars news agency quoted the president as saying.
