Macron Publishes Post in Azerbaijani Language After Conversation with Ilham Aliyev
French President Emmanuel Macron announced on his official X account that he had a telephone conversation with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
In the post, the French leader thanked Azerbaijan for its assistance in evacuating French citizens from Iran.
"Within the framework of my consultations with regional leaders, I spoke with President Ilham Aliyev and expressed our support and solidarity to him following the Iranian strikes directed at his country. I also thanked him for Azerbaijan's assistance in facilitating the evacuation of our citizens. Taking this opportunity, I reiterated our support for the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan and our desire to continue our bilateral dialogue with Baku on a stronger foundation," Macron wrote.
