Israel confirms upcoming conversation between Netanyahu and Aoun

Israel's Minister of Innovation, Science, and Technology, Gila Gamliel, confirmed on the radio station 'Galei Tzahal' that a conversation is planned between Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Lebanese President Joseph Aoun.

I hope that this step will ultimately lead to the prosperity and development of Lebanon as a country, she said. According to Gamliel, who is a member of Israel's security cabinet, the arrangement of the conversation has been in the works for a long time.

Earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump announced that Netanyahu and Aoun would hold talks on April 16. According to him, this will be the first conversation between the leaders of Israel and Lebanon in 34 years.
