Netanyahu cured of early-stage cancer
The office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Friday published an annual medical report on the prime minister's health, stating that he has been cured of early-stage prostate cancer.
According to the report, in December 2024, Netanyahu underwent a successful surgery to treat a benign enlargement of the prostate, and since then, he has been under regular medical supervision.
"As part of routine monitoring following the surgery, an MRI scan revealed a tiny spot less than one centimeter in size with suspicious characteristics in the prostate. Further tests confirmed that this was indeed an incidental finding of early-stage prostate cancer... without metastases," the report states.
Doctors offered Netanyahu two options - to remain under observation or to undergo targeted radiation therapy.
"The Prime Minister chose treatment... which proved to be completely successful, with the complete disappearance of the lesion, as confirmed by all radiological and laboratory tests," the document states.
Netanyahu himself shared on social media that he had requested to delay the publication of the report by two months so that it would not occur in the midst of the war with Iran and to prevent the spread of propaganda against Israel.
