Cafe managed by artificial intelligence opens in Stockholm

A cafe managed by artificial intelligence (AI), which handles the menu, procurement, and staff recruitment, has opened in Stockholm.

This was reported by Agence France-Presse.

According to the agency, the project was implemented by the startup Andon Labs using the Google Gemini system. The algorithm, named Mona, independently processes permits, interacts with suppliers, and conducts interviews with candidates.

As noted by AFP, the experiment has already revealed several issues due to the use of AI. In particular, errors occurred during procurement, and difficulties arose related to employees' working conditions. The cafe has been operating for about a week and attracts up to 80 visitors per day.
