First Armenia-EU summit takes place in Yerevan
The first Armenia-EU summit is taking place on Tuesday in Yerevan.
Armenia is represented at the summit by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, while the European Union is represented by President of the European Council António Costa and President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen.
As previously stated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, the summit is dedicated to strengthening bilateral relations, particularly in the areas of economy, energy, transport, digital technologies, and people-to-people contacts.
Discussions will also cover issues of peace and security in the South Caucasus, the development of transport infrastructure, regional cooperation, and global challenges.
