Trump on Iranian attack on American destroyers
Three 'top-class' American destroyers made an 'extremely successful passage,' exiting the Strait of Hormuz under fire, U.S. President Donald Trump reported.
'The destroyers sustained no damage, while the Iranian attackers suffered enormous losses. They were completely destroyed along with numerous boats they use in place of their completely decapitated fleet. These boats went to the seabed quickly and efficiently,' Trump wrote on the social network Truth Social.
According to him, missiles were fired at the American destroyers, causing minor damage.
'Drones flew in the same way - they were incinerated right in the air. They fell into the ocean so beautifully, like butterflies descending into their graves!' Trump noted.
'A normal country would have allowed these destroyers to pass, but Iran is not a normal country. They are ruled by LUNATICS, and if they had the chance to use nuclear weapons, they would do so without hesitation. But they will never have that opportunity, and just as we knocked them out today, we will knock them out much harder and much tougher in the future if they do not sign their Deal QUICKLY! Our three destroyers with their wonderful crews will now rejoin our naval blockade, which represents a true 'Steel Wall,'' the American leader concluded.
Earlier, the Iranian army stated that the U.S. violated the ceasefire regime by attacking an Iranian oil tanker and another vessel entering the Strait of Hormuz.
The Tasnim agency reported that three American military ships near the Strait of Hormuz were fired upon by the Iranian navy. The American television channel CBS also reported that three military ships passing through the strait were attacked.
