Turkish Airlines plane catches fire at Nepal airport during landing - VIDEO

During landing at the airport in the capital of Nepal, Kathmandu, a Turkish Airlines plane flying from Istanbul caught fire.

This is reported by the Kathmandu Post newspaper.

According to available information, during landing at Tribhuvan International Airport, the airliner's tire burst.

As a result, a fire broke out.

There were between 284 and 289 people on board the plane, including 11 crew members. All of them evacuated through emergency exits; there were no injuries. Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident.
