CNN: Trump seriously considers resuming war against Iran

U.S. President Donald Trump is increasingly seriously considering the option of resuming a full-scale military operation against Iran.

CNN made this assertion, citing unnamed aides to the American leader.

According to their information, the White House occupant is running out of patience due to the ongoing closure of the Strait of Hormuz, as well as the fact that the Islamic Republic is not making significant concessions to Washington, which the head of the U.S. administration attributes to alleged disagreements among Iranian authorities.

In the White House, CNN writes, there are several camps that propose different further steps regarding Tehran: some representatives of the U.S. administration advocate a more aggressive approach that would include strikes on Iran to weaken the positions of the Islamic Republic, while others continue to insist on continuing diplomatic efforts.

In addition, part of Trump’s circle wants the mediator in U.S.-Iranian negotiations, Pakistan, to more accurately convey the U.S. position to Iran. The White House also believes that Pakistani mediators often convey to Washington a more positive Iranian position than is actually the case.

The channel notes that it is unlikely that the American leader will make any final decision on Iran before his departure to China this week.
