Iran threatens US with new defeats
New defeats on the battlefield await the US if they do not accept Iran's legitimate demands for resolving the conflict.
This was stated by the official representative of the Iranian Ministry of Defense, General Reza Talayinik.
"If the enemy does not accept the legitimate and specific demands of the Iranian people in the field of diplomacy, it should expect a repetition of its defeats on the battlefield. Any new threat, attack or aggression from the enemy will definitely meet an immediate, decisive and final response that will make [the enemy] regret [its actions]," his words are quoted by the IRNA agency.
Reza Talayinik noted that the Iranian people will remain the winner in this "imposed war" in the future as well. He also pointed out that repeated cases of "flight" of American ships from the conflict zone are evidence of the combat capability of the Iranian army and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (elite units of the Iranian Armed Forces) and their readiness to give a "harsh response that the enemy will regret."
On May 10, Iran handed over to Pakistan a response to American proposals for resolving the conflict in the Persian Gulf zone. US President Donald Trump called Tehran's response unacceptable.
Later, the Fars agency, citing a source, reported that the Iranian authorities will not resume negotiations with the US on resolving the conflict until Washington fulfills five conditions of Tehran. As noted, the conditions include ending the war on all fronts, especially in Lebanon, lifting anti-Iranian sanctions, releasing frozen Iranian assets, compensating for damage caused by the war, and recognizing Iran's right to sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz.
