Erdogan sharply criticizes Netanyahu during Kurban Bayram holiday

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan sharply criticized Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in his address on the occasion of Kurban Bayram, calling him a "tyrant".

According to Erdogan, the situation in the Gaza Strip overshadows the holiday for Muslims in Turkey and other countries. He expressed support for the Palestinians, who, he said, are celebrating the holiday "in sadness, pain, and deep sorrow."

Erdogan stated that he believes that "the tyrant named Netanyahu will receive a lesson from Muslims around the world," speaking after the holiday prayer at the Camlica Mosque in Istanbul.

He also emphasized that religious holidays should contribute to strengthening unity, solidarity, and mutual respect among people.

Turkey remains one of the most critical states toward Israel's actions, regularly calling for a ceasefire and expanded humanitarian access to Gaza.
