Exercises of MES rescuers held on Shykh beach - PHOTO - VIDEO

The State Service for Supervision of Small Vessels and Rescue on Waters of the Ministry of Emergency Situations conducted tactical-special exercises on the topic “Conducting diving-search and rescue operations on water bodies” on Shykh beach in the Sabail district of Baku.

As 1news.az reports, employees of the relevant structures of the MES took part in the training.

The main goal of the exercises was to improve coordination, management and control in the field of ensuring the safety of people on the water, as well as to increase the level of preparedness of the leadership and other participants for actions in emergency situations, and to check the reliability of communication and notification systems.

According to the scenario, information was received by the duty unit of the service that a pleasure boat had conditionally wrecked 800 meters from the Shykh rescue station. As a result, three people found themselves in a dangerous situation, and another person conditionally fell overboard and drowned.

The relevant forces of the service were promptly sent to the scene.

Thanks to the actions of the rescuers, the citizens who were under threat of death after the conditional wreck of the boat were saved, and the body of the conditionally drowned person was found and transferred to the relevant services.

Based on the results of the successfully conducted exercises, the results obtained were discussed and appropriate instructions were given.
