Iran stops strikes on Israel
Iran is stopping its strikes on Israel but warns that it will deliver more devastating strikes in case of Israeli aggression in Lebanon, according to a statement from the central headquarters of the military command of the Iranian armed forces "Khatam al-Anbiya".
"The cessation of the armed forces operation is announced, however it is emphasized that in case of continued aggression, including in southern Lebanon, more devastating and powerful measures will be taken," the statement says, cited by the Iranian agency Fars.
The Iranian military command headquarters called the strikes on Israel a "cautionary lesson."
In the evening of June 7, Iran launched several missiles at northern Israel. The attack followed several hours after statements in Iran that Tehran would respond to the recent Israeli army strike on the suburbs of Beirut. Later, the Israel Defense Forces announced strikes on military targets in central and western parts of Iran. Iran, in response, continued shelling Israeli territory.
