New data on the earthquake in Venezuela: 235 people killed and more than 4.3 thousand injured
The number of those killed as a result of the earthquake in Venezuela has reached 235, with more than 4.3 thousand also injured.
This was stated by the Minister of Health of the republic Carlos Alvarado on the air of the state television channel Venezolana de Televisión.
"Unfortunately, we have admitted about 235 patients who arrived without signs of life or died at the moment of arrival at our medical institutions," said the head of the department.
He noted that assistance was provided to more than 4,300 injured. "Some of them with mild [injuries], but there are also patients in moderate condition and seriously injured," the minister added, indicating that many required surgical intervention, and the most difficult situation is developing in the state of La Guaira.
