Media: Zaluzhny told Zelensky about plans to run for president
Former commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian army Valery Zaluzhny told Vladimir Zelensky about his intention to run for president if elections are held in the fall.
As "Ukrainska Pravda" writes, citing sources, on Bankova they tried to dissuade the former commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from presidential ambitions.
According to the publication, Zaluzhny was summoned to Kyiv from Britain. The former military man, as is known, holds the post of ambassador of Ukraine to the United Kingdom.
Previously, the media repeatedly wrote that the former commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is considered the main competitor of Zelensky. It was reported that the politician is establishing contacts with potential political rivals.
