Pashinyan meets with Iranian president
Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan met with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, the press service of the Armenian cabinet reports.
The prime minister once again expressed condolences in connection with the death of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, noting that Armenia shares the grief of the Iranian people.
Pezeshkian thanked Pashinyan for participating in the official farewell ceremony. He noted that Tehran highly values Armenia's position and the humanitarian assistance provided during a difficult period for Iran.
The president of Iran also congratulated Pashinyan on his victory in the parliamentary elections and expressed confidence that bilateral relations will continue to develop and strengthen consistently.
The interlocutors exchanged views on the regional situation, noting the importance of steps to establish peace, stability, and regional cooperation.
Recall that Pashinyan traveled to Tehran to participate in the farewell ceremony for the supreme leader of the IRI, who was killed as a result of an American-Israeli strike.
