Zelensky proposes Putin hold meeting in Konstantinovka
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Russian assertions about the transition of Konstantinovka under the control of Russian troops do not correspond to reality.
He said this during a telephone conversation with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz.
“If Konstantinovka is now under Russian control, then perhaps Putin will have no problem meeting me there and finding diplomatic solutions to finally end the war,” Zelensky emphasized.
According to him, the Russian leader is trying to convince the world community, including the US president, that Russian troops have taken Konstantinovka, although this does not correspond to reality.
Earlier, Chief of the Main Operational Directorate of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces Sergei Rudskoy stated the establishment of full control over the settlement of Konstantinovka in Donetsk region of Ukraine. Kyiv denied the statement of the Russian side. Source: RBC Ukraine
