Kremlin supports China's missile test

Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov called the missile tests by the People's Republic of China a sovereign right, RIA Novosti reports.

"We believe that this is China's sovereign right to test its missiles and engage in military construction," the Kremlin representative said.

The Chinese Ministry of Defense reported that the country's military on July 6 carried out a successful test launch of a strategic missile with a warhead mockup from a submarine.

The warhead mockup fell into the waters of the Pacific Ocean. The Xinhua publication noted that the test was conducted as part of China's annual military training, and other countries were notified about it.
