Peskov: NATO summit in Turkey arouses great interest
The Russian side will monitor the statements and documents of the NATO summit in Ankara, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov confirmed.
“Of course, this is an event that arouses great interest, including our interest. We will, of course, track all the news and all the information that will come from Ankara,” he said.
Peskov noted that before the summit, statements were made “not about constructive interaction and dialogue, but rather statements of a confrontational nature.” Moscow will consider “what documents all this will result in.”
The NATO summit will be held in Ankara on July 7–8. U.S. President Donald Trump will attend it.
