Speaker of Iranian parliament accuses US of violating memorandum terms
Speaker of Iran's Majlis (parliament) Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf accused the US of serious violations of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding.
He wrote about this on his page on X.
The key violations included disrupting the passage of Iranian vessels through the Strait of Hormuz, constant threats to resume military strikes, resumption of oil sanctions, continued Israeli aggression against Lebanon, and strikes on southern Iran.
Ghalibaf added that "the era of intimidation and extortion has ended" and attempts to blackmail the republic will lead to nothing.
Earlier, the U.S. Central Command reported carrying out a series of powerful strikes on Iran in response to alleged attacks by the Islamic republic against three vessels in the Strait of Hormuz.
