Qatari prime minister calls on US and Iran to dialogue and implement memorandum

Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, in a telephone conversation with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, called on Tehran and Washington to engage in dialogue and implement the memorandum of understanding.

This was reported by the Qatari foreign ministry.

During the conversation, the head of the Qatari government emphasized "the need for all parties to commit to dialogue and diplomacy, as well as to fulfill the conditions that were agreed upon within the framework of the memorandum of understanding," the ministry's statement said.

The parties also discussed the military escalation between the US and Iran. Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani also condemned the recent attacks on commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz, noting that such actions "undermine trust, threaten the security of international navigation, and harm efforts to strengthen regional stability."
