Pashinyan promised to publish draft of new Armenian constitution by end of year

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan promised to publish a draft of Armenia's new constitution by the end of this year.

"I won't give specific deadlines, but we will publish it by the end of the year," the Armenian prime minister said in a conversation with journalists. At the same time, he said that the draft had not been published earlier because the next parliamentary elections intervened, and in order to properly conduct discussions on the document, a decision was made to postpone the publication dates of the draft of Armenia's new basic law.

Earlier, the prime minister set a political goal to adopt a new constitution that would be "organically linked to the citizens of Armenia."
