After the defeat of the Morocco national team in the quarterfinal of the 2026 World Cup in London, security measures were strengthened, reports Mirror.

Police officers in protective gear arrived on the streets of the British capital amid clashes among fans.

The Moroccan team lost to France 0:2 in the quarterfinal match. After the end of the match, large groups of fans gathered on the famous Edgware Road in the northwestern part of London.

Footage of clashes between fans appeared on social media. A large number of emergency services personnel were present at the scene.
