Abbas Abbasov: "This is the first memorandum signed by BIG with a state body"

"Within the framework of the memorandum, cooperation will be carried out in the scientific-research sphere. I would like to note that the mentioned institute is engaged in training diplomats and organizing advanced training courses in Burkina Faso. In the future, together with this institute, we will attract international experts, diplomats, and other specialists to discussions on the decolonization process, organize special training programs, and prepare joint analytical reports."

As the correspondent of 1news.az reports, this was stated to journalists by the executive director of BIG Abbas Abbasov during the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation between the Baku Initiative Group (BIG) and the Institute of Advanced International Studies of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Burkina Faso.
"Until now, the Baku Initiative Group has signed memorandums of cooperation mainly with political parties and resistance movements that are still operating under conditions of colonialism. This is the first memorandum we have signed with a state body, which indicates the expansion of the format of our interaction.
I believe that in the future we will sign similar agreements with other international institutions and higher educational institutions. Currently, work is underway on a number of proposals in this direction. However, each cooperation initiative goes through a certain stage of evaluation and analysis. If we conclude that it will be mutually beneficial, the issue of signing relevant documents with these structures will also be considered," noted Abbas Abbasov.
