EU foreign ministers to approve mission for Armenia to combat hybrid threats

EU foreign ministers will approve the creation of an EU mission for Armenia to combat hybrid threats at a meeting in Brussels, which effectively means combating Russian influence.

EU diplomatic service chief Kaja Kallas made the corresponding statement upon arrival at the meeting of the foreign ministers of the community countries.

"Ministers will agree on the creation of a new mission for partnership with Armenia, which will deal with combating the hybrid threats they face there," Kallas said.

In Brussels statements, "combating hybrid threats" implies countering Russian influence. Similar EU missions operate in Ukraine and Moldova.
