In Azerbaijan, the civilian circulation of electronic cigarettes is prohibited

Electronic cigarettes and their components are included in the list of objects whose presence in civilian circulation is not permitted (withdrawn from civilian circulation).

As 1news.az reports, this was reflected in the proposed amendment to the law "On the list of objects whose presence in civilian circulation is not permitted (withdrawn from civilian circulation)", submitted for discussion at today's session of the Milli Majlis.

Note that in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan No. 338-VIIQD dated December 30, 2025 "On amendments to the Tax Code, as well as to the laws of the Republic of Azerbaijan 'On tobacco and tobacco products', 'On advertising' and 'On restricting the use of tobacco products'" the import, export, production, storage, wholesale and retail sale, as well as the use of electronic cigarettes and their components were prohibited. Thus, a corresponding harmonizing amendment is being made to the law "On the list of objects whose presence in civilian circulation is not permitted (withdrawn from civilian circulation)".

The bill was put to a vote and adopted in the first reading.
