Two oil tankers exploded on mines near the Strait of Hormuz

Two oil tankers intended to pass through the Strait of Hormuz along an unsafe route and exploded.

This was reported by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC, elite units of the Iranian Armed Forces).

According to a statement cited by the Tasnim agency, tankers "incited by the US army" tried to leave the safe route in the southern part of the Strait of Hormuz, which caused them to explode.
