The new ambassador of Azerbaijan to Uzbekistan, Rashad Mamedov, presented his credentials to the president of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

Mirziyoyev noted that thanks to the firm political will of the leaders of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, relations between the two countries have reached the level of strategic partnership and alliance.
"The volume of mutual trade increased by 40%, the number of joint ventures reached almost 450, and the volume of cargo transportation doubled. An ambitious goal has been set to bring the volume of the joint investment portfolio between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan to $10 billion in the near future," the president noted.
It was also noted that upcoming high-level meetings will give a new impetus to bilateral cooperation.
