YENİ Parti, created by Özgür Özel, raised over 113 million lira in a day
The new YENİ Parti, created under the leadership of former leader of the opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) Özgür Özel, raised more than 113.8 million Turkish lira (about 4 million 73 thousand AZN) during the first 24 hours of its donation campaign.
This was reported by the party's deputy from Çanakkale, Özgür Ceylan, Turkish media report.
According to him, during the first 24 hours after the launch of the campaign, 31,934 people made donations, transferring a total of 113,841,910 Turkish lira.
The campaign started after 91 deputies left the CHP and joined YENİ Parti, established by Özgür Özel following a court decision on the return of Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu to the post of CHP chairman.
