Sybiha: Ukraine is interested in diversifying energy supplies from Azerbaijan

Ukraine is interested in diversifying energy supplies from Azerbaijan and has prepared a package of proposals for the Azerbaijani side.

As Report informs, this was stated by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha at a joint press conference with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov in Kyiv.

"As for the bilateral dimension, which is also strategic in nature. Strategic both in terms of current projects that have already been launched and are developing, and in terms of prospects. This is energy, this is infrastructure, this is the humanitarian dimension. Azerbaijani business has always been actively present in Ukraine, and we would welcome a further increase in this presence. We have a package of proposals for our Azerbaijani friends. We are interested in diversifying energy supplies to Ukraine," Sybiha noted.

Sybiha also emphasized that Azerbaijan is a strong country that is developing and playing an important role in the region, and that its voice in the efforts to end the war is of great importance.

He also called Azerbaijan's role strategic for all of Europe in terms of energy security, and not only for Ukraine.

"We are actively working on this, and I am convinced that we will have significant results. I am confident that bilateral cooperation strengthens our countries and has great potential," the head of the ministry added.
