The statements of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, voiced in an interview with Azerbaijani Television, drew wide resonance in the media of Türkiye.

As AZERTAC reports, leading news agencies, television channels, news portals and newspapers of the brotherly country acquainted their multimillion viewing and reading audience with the remarks of the head of the Azerbaijani state and cited quotes voiced within the framework of the trip to the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.

The newspaper Türkiye, in an article headlined "The scale of the Zangezur corridor is expanding! Aliyev explained the issue in detail," focused attention on the significance for Türkiye and the entire Turkic world of the route connecting the main part of Azerbaijan with its integral part – Nakhchivan.

The newspaper informed readers about the statements of the President of Azerbaijan, noting that TRIPP ("Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity") is not only a railway and a highway. "A route that can also be used for a fiber-optic cable, power transmission lines, and in the future, if necessary, oil and gas pipelines," the newspaper notes, quoting the words of President Ilham Aliyev about approaching the goal of creating the Zangezur corridor.

Readers of such well-known Turkish newspapers as Hürriyet, Milliyet, Star and others were also acquainted with the statements of President Ilham Aliyev.

The news agency Anadolu, in a piece headlined "The President of Azerbaijan assessed the Zangezur corridor," recalled the results of the historic Washington summit of August 8, 2025, at which the issue of the Zangezur corridor found its solution.

The news agency extensively acquainted its subscribers with the statements of the head of our state, including on the issue of the construction of a railway up to the Armenian border and the works on the railway in Nakhchivan.

It is noted that Baku aims to bring the volume of cargo traffic along this transport corridor to the mark of no less than 15 million tons of cargo per year.

The agency paid separate attention to President Ilham Aliyev's words about the threat to neighboring countries posed by the outdated nuclear power plant in Armenia.

"The extension of the operating life of this plant cannot be an endless process; sooner or later it must be closed. Naturally, if it closes, Armenia will be completely plunged into an energy crisis... The energy corridor that will stretch from the territory of Armenia to Nakhchivan, then to Türkiye and Europe, will also allow Armenia's energy system to withstand in the event of a crisis," the agency quotes the President of Azerbaijan.

The channels HaberGlobal, HaberTürk and Ulusal TV, popular in Türkiye, included reports on the remarks of the President of Azerbaijan in their broadcast schedules, and also posted the corresponding news on their websites and social networks.
