Special operation by the SSS: man wanted internationally for 17 years brought to Azerbaijan

As part of the ongoing counterterrorism and operational-search measures carried out by the State Security Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SSS), Namig Rashid oglu Agalarov, who had been on the international wanted list since 2009, was detained, brought to Azerbaijan, and brought to investigation.

As APA reports, Namig Agalarov is accused of having, in 2008–2009, as part of illegal armed formations in Afghanistan, Pakistan, and other countries, participated in organizing armed ambushes against the personnel of the International Security Assistance Force, which operated under a UN mandate, in the use of remotely controlled explosive devices, as well as in organizing armed attacks on representatives of international organizations, citizens of various countries carrying out an international mission, and on logistics networks.

There is also information that Namig Agalarov, who over the past years hid in different countries under various names in order to avoid responsibility, was also engaged in propagating jihad and radical religious ideology.
