European Volleyball Championship: Azerbaijan's national team defeats Portugal
Azerbaijan's women's national volleyball team has begun its campaign at the European Championship hosted by Baku.
As AZERTAC reports, in the first match of Group C, the team led by Faig Garayev faced Portugal. The match, held at the National Gymnastics Arena, ended in a 3-1 victory for the national team.
Azerbaijan's national team will play its next group match on August 23 at the same arena against Spain.
It should be noted that, along with the teams of Azerbaijan and Portugal, Group C also features the teams of the Netherlands, Spain, Belgium, and Romania. The matches of this group will conclude on August 28.
