Azerbaijani citizen stranded in Kamchatka asks for help

Azerbaijani citizen and well-known animator Tatyana Dolivets reported that she was among the tourists cut off from the outside world in Kamchatka after a road was washed out by water.

As 1news.az reports, she wrote about this on her Instagram page.

According to Dolivets, a group of 16 people is located in the area of the Tolbachik volcano, near the "Kleshnya" tourist camp. She claims that about 30 kilometers of road have been washed out and there is currently no way to get back.

"Along with a group of tourists, we are stuck in Kamchatka, on Tolbachik. The Kleshnya camp. The road was washed away. 30 km. The way back was washed out by water, the river overflowed its banks, and it is not possible to return," she said.

According to the Azerbaijani citizen, her group travels in a "Ural" vehicle. Besides them, there may be about 100 more people in this area who have been cut off from the main road.

Among the tourists, as Dolivets claims, there are citizens of China, Belarus, Israel, and Russia.

The food situation is of particular concern: according to her, the group has about one day's worth of food supplies left.

Due to the lack of mobile internet, the tourist specifically drove to a place where she was able to get a signal in order to publish her appeal. She asked for help in drawing the attention of Russian emergency services, as well as the relevant government agencies of Azerbaijan, to the situation.

It should be noted that in recent days there have been problems with road transportation in Kamchatka. On August 21, the Main Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations for Kamchatka Krai reported traffic restrictions on a section of the Milkovo — Klyuchi — Ust-Kamchatsk highway. The restrictions were introduced, in particular, on the section up to the turnoff to the village of Kozyrevsk.
