Fatal collision between Kia and VAZ-2106 in Goychay: two injured die in hospital
In the Goychay district, the death toll from a serious traffic accident has risen to two people.
The accident occurred on the section of the Baku–Shamakhi–Yevlakh highway passing through the village of Bigir. A Kia and a VAZ-2106 collided on the road. Due to the force of the impact, the passengers and drivers were trapped in the mangled interiors of the vehicles, from which they were extracted by witnesses of the tragedy.
All four victims, with injuries of varying severity, were taken by an ambulance crew to the Goychay District Central Hospital. Despite the efforts of the doctors, two of them died at the medical facility.
Law enforcement agencies are conducting an investigation into the accident, and all the circumstances and causes of the incident are being established.
