Trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan has tripled over the past five years
The volume of mutual trade between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan has tripled over the past five years.
As 1news.az reports, Azerbaijani leader Ilham Aliyev and his Uzbek counterpart Shavkat Mirziyoyev, during a one-on-one meeting and the third session of the Supreme Interstate Council, discussed issues of further deepening Azerbaijani-Uzbek relations of strategic partnership and alliance.
The presidents of the two countries noted the dynamic development of bilateral ties and close contacts between the parliaments, governments, and sectoral agencies.
Opportunities to bring the trade turnover up to 1 billion dollars were noted. The basis for this will be the Program being adopted, which includes concrete measures to achieve this important benchmark.
Over the past five years, the volume of mutual trade between the two countries has tripled, and cooperation projects are being implemented in the energy, chemical, mining, and textile industries, agriculture, urban development, and other areas.
