Ilham Aliyev thanks Uzbekistan for investment projects in Karabakh - VIDEO
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev thanked Uzbekistan for its contribution to the restoration of Karabakh, noting the opening of the Mirzo Ulugbek School and a new garment factory in Khankendi.
The head of state stated: "The Mirzo Ulugbek School has to date already admitted practically all the students who can study there. The school is designed for approximately 1,000 people, and, according to the latest data, several hundred students are already studying there. This school is also a symbol of our friendship and brotherhood. In addition, together with you we visited a garment factory in Khankendi created by our Uzbek friends in record time. We also met together with the staff in Khankendi. Naturally, the creation of jobs in the Karabakh region — especially for women — is now of enormous importance. And once again, the first investment project to create a modern manufacturing enterprise and open more than 200 jobs is being implemented precisely by the Uzbek side. For this I am very grateful to you."
