UEFA Champions League: Sabah's opponents to be determined today in Monaco
The opponents of Azerbaijan's champion, Baku's Sabah, in the league phase of the 2026/2027 UEFA Champions League will be determined today in Monaco.
As 1news.az reports, the draw will begin at 20:00 Baku time.
Ahead of the ceremony, the composition of the four pots, which include the tournament's 36 participants, was determined. Sabah, coached by Valdas Dambrauskas, was placed in the fourth pot.
First pot: PSG (France), Bayern (Germany), Real, Barcelona, Atletico (Spain), Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester City (England), Inter (Italy).
Second pot: Borussia (Dortmund, Germany), Roma (Italy), Sporting, Porto (Portugal), Manchester United, Aston Villa (England), Brugge (Belgium), Betis (Spain), PSV (Netherlands).
Third pot: Feyenoord (Netherlands), Lille (France), Bodø/Glimt (Norway), Napoli (Italy), Leipzig (Germany), Villarreal (Spain), Shakhtar (Ukraine), Galatasaray, Fenerbahçe (both - Turkey).
Fourth pot: Slavia (Czech Republic), Slovan (Slovakia), Stuttgart (Germany), AEK (Greece), LASK (Austria), Como (Italy), Lens (France), Viking (Norway), Sabah (Azerbaijan).
The Champions League league phase matches will be held from September 8, 2026, to January 27, 2027. The tournament final will take place on June 5, 2027, in Madrid.
