Baku condemns anti-Azerbaijani provocation in front of the embassy guest house in Russia
Azerbaijan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemns the placement by unidentified individuals on Thursday of provocative images against the republic in front of the guest house of the country's embassy in Russia.
This was stated in a report by the Azerbaijani foreign policy agency.
«It cannot be ruled out that this unacceptable provocation not only serves to artificially aggravate Azerbaijani-Russian relations, but is also part of a dirty and biased campaign that has recently been waged against Azerbaijan in a number of Russian media resources.
The Azerbaijani side calls on the relevant structures of the Russian Federation to give a proper legal assessment of such provocative actions, to ensure a comprehensive investigation of the incident, and to take the necessary measures to prevent the recurrence of such cases», the report says.
Official Baku expects the Russian side to fully fulfill its obligations under the 1961 Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations to ensure the proper level of security for the Azerbaijani embassy and its staff, as well as to suppress any provocative actions that could interfere with the normal activities of the diplomatic mission.
