Euronews has published an article about the growing role of the Middle Corridor in global trade.

The article notes that the Middle Corridor is turning into an intercontinental trade route between Asia and Europe, with Azerbaijan at its center; growth in freight traffic, digital logistics, and new ports are shaping its future.

"The Middle Corridor is gaining increasing importance as a trade route connecting Asia and Europe via Central Asia, the Caspian Sea, and the South Caucasus. Azerbaijan is at the center of this multimodal network, bringing together railways, ports, and other transport infrastructure."

On the Business Horizons program, Emil Mammadov, adviser to the chairman of Azerbaijan Railways (ADY), stated that as international demand grows, the corridor is "increasingly becoming a trade corridor."

He also noted the role of digital solutions in tracking cargo and improving coordination. At the Port of Baku, cargo handling volume increased by 40% in 2025, which underscores the growing importance of this route.
