Ilham Aliyev expresses condolences to the president of Northern Cyprus

President Ilham Aliyev has sent a letter of condolence to the President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Tufan Erhürman, over the tragic loss of life resulting from the sinking of a vessel off the coast of Girne.

In his message, the head of state noted:

“Dear Mr. President,

We were deeply shocked by the news of the loss of life as a result of the sinking of a vessel not far from Girne.

In connection with this tragedy, on my own behalf and on behalf of the Azerbaijani people, I extend my deepest condolences to you, to the families and loved ones of those who perished, as well as to the brotherly people. I wish a speedy recovery to the injured.”
