President of Azerbaijan: The South Caucasus region, once a zone of long-standing conflicts, is turning into a zone of peace

A little more than a year ago, Azerbaijan and Armenia put an end to a conflict that had lasted more than 30 years by initialing the text of a peace agreement.

As AZERTAC reports, this was stated by President Ilham Aliyev speaking at a meeting in the "SCO Plus" format.

The head of state noted that thereby the South Caucasus region, once a zone of long-standing conflicts, is turning into a zone of peace.
