Azerbaijan and NATO discuss cooperation in demining

Azerbaijan and NATO have discussed cooperation in the field of humanitarian demining.

The meeting took place between Samir Poladov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Azerbaijani demining agency ANAMA, and a NATO delegation headed by Eirini Lemos-Maniati, Head of the Arms Control, Disarmament and Weapons of Mass Destruction Non-Proliferation Section.

During the talks, the parties reviewed current cooperation and support from international partners.

Poladov also briefed the NATO representatives on ANAMA's ongoing operations and the agency's international engagement in the field of humanitarian demining.
