Draft of Armenia's new Constitution to be published before the end of the year

Publication of the draft of Armenia's new Constitution is planned before the end of the year.

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said this on Thursday at a briefing, Armenian media report.

Pashinyan commented on the talks with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in Bishkek within the framework of the SCO summit.

In particular, he stated that during the meeting with the president of Azerbaijan the entire range of issues on the bilateral agenda was addressed.

At the same time, the head of the cabinet emphasized that the reform of the country's Basic Law has fundamentally been kept outside the scope of any international contacts:

"With the president of Azerbaijan we discussed all the issues on the agenda. But the Constitution is not part of our agenda. We state that we do not discuss the topic of the Constitution with external partners and other countries," Pashinyan said.
