Meloni thanked Ilham Aliyev
Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni thanked Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev for his congratulations on setting a record for the longest tenure as head of government.
The prime minister wrote about this on the social network X.
"Thank you, dear Aliyev, for these words and for the sincere friendship that binds our peoples," the Italian prime minister noted.
According to her, in recent years Italy and Azerbaijan have built strong cooperation based on shared interests and vision.
Meloni also emphasized that she is proud of the joint work to strengthen the strategic partnership between the two countries, and expressed confidence that new opportunities for cooperation will emerge in the interests of the peoples of Italy and Azerbaijan.
