Premier League: Qarabag claims another victory

Qarabag has claimed another victory in the Azerbaijan Premier League.

As 1news.az reports, in the 4th round the Aghdam side defeated Araz-Naxchivan 3:2, with the match held at the Tofig Bahramov Republican Stadium.

For the "horsemen," the scorers were Joni Montiel (in the 8th minute), Renaldo Cephas (67), and Musa Gurbanli (89). For the Nakhchivan side, Luka Dumancic (72) and Aghadadash Salyanski (90+3) found the net.

Following this result, Qarabag increased its points tally to 9 and rose to third place in the standings, while also having a game in hand. Araz-Naxchivan has 1 point and occupies the next-to-last, 11th place.

In the first match of the day, Turan Tovuz overcame Sumgayit 2:1.

In the previous matches of the round, Gabala beat Imishli (2:1), Shamakhi beat Kapaz (4:1), Sabah beat Zira (5:0), and Neftchi beat Shafa (4:1).
