Baku hosts the 4th Climate Week and Baku Climate Action Week 2026
The 4th Climate Week (CW4) of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, is beginning in Baku.
As 1news.az's correspondent reports, Baku Climate Action Week 2026 is being held in parallel with CW4. Both initiatives are aimed at the practical implementation of climate solutions, strengthening international cooperation, and advancing the global climate agenda ahead of COP31.
On the opening day of the forum, five panel sessions and roundtables will take place:
"From Baku to COP31: Sustaining the Momentum of Climate Action in a Fragmented World";
"Advancing Green Energy Through Innovation, Digital Technologies, and Regional Cooperation";
"Accelerating Methane Emission Reductions: From Detection to Action";
"Carbon Markets: Climate Financing Opportunities";
"Cross-Border Renewable Energy Certificates for Regional Interconnectedness."
